Here is how it works. When you replace your gas furnace or air conditioner in 2011, up to 10% of the cost* of the gas furnace or air conditioner including labor from the certified installation contractor; you can receive up to $500.00 back from this tax credit. There are several units that may qualify by meeting the gas furnace efficiency standard of 95% AFUE and the minimum air conditioner efficiency standard of 16 SEER.

 Environmental Protection Agency Energy Star Program
The Energy Star Program, initiated by the Department of Energy and the EPA, promotes the use of energy efficient products. Look for the Energy Star symbol on Day & Night units that rate in the high numbers of efficiency. Day & Night is manufactured by International Comfort Products, LLC Corporation (USA), a voluntary partner in this government program.
